Dan Guerrero is Director of Athletics at UCLA, a position he has held since 2002. During his tenure, he has guided the athletic program to 20 NCAA team titles in 11 different sports. Guerrero received his Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1974 while playing second base for the Bruin baseball team for four years. Guerrero, known as “Warrior” during his playing career, spent four years after graduation living outside of Rome and playing for the Nettuno baseball club in the Serie A1, Italy’s professional baseball league. With 17 team championships, the Nettuno baseball club boasts more than any other club. During his time abroad, Guerrero developed a passion for all things Italian, including the country’s fine food and wine, and returns to Italy frequently.
