UCLA Alumni Travel tours are open to all UCLA alumni and their families, as well as friends of the university. These exclusive travel offerings are available to sustaining donors of the Alumni Association and a service to our travelers. One person per traveling party must be a current UCLA Alumni Sustaining Donor. Learn more about the Sustaining Donor program here.
How do I become eligible?
Become a UCLA Alumni Sustaining Donor by making a qualifying, tax-deductible gift to the UCLA Alumni Association Support Fund. A minimum gift of $100 is required per traveling party to be eligible for UCLA Alumni Travel tours. Make your gift by visiting this page. Sustaining donors are the financial backbone of the Association and help ensure the future of programs, services and offerings for more than 500,000 Bruins worldwide.
How are tours selected?
Our tours are compiled from proposals presented by the finest specialized tour operators. Tours we sponsor have met our strict criteria for financial responsibility, established reputation, professional staff, quality operations and all-around dependability. We require all tour suppliers to carry professional liability insurance and provide references to ensure they provide the best possible travel experience. If an operator cannot meet our strict criteria, we do not work with them. We've done the homework for you.
About travel arrangements
Travel arrangements listed on this website, such as dates, itineraries, program details and costs, are determined by the particular tour operator for each tour. They are subject to change, but every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned. The tour prices listed are per person, based on double occupancy and current exchange rates and tariffs, excluding airfare unless noted otherwise. For most of our tours, you also have the option to purchase group airfare from Los Angeles at an additional cost.
Benefits of group travel
Group travel is a wonderful option that provides professional tour planning, ease of mind, security and companionships that can outlast the trip. But like any other kind of travel, it is also subject to minor changes, delays or mishaps. The Alumni Association and tour operator will do their best to care for the individual needs of travelers, but their principal concern will be the welfare of the group as a whole.
How fit do I need to be?
Each tour is designated by an activity level. If you are not sure, call us at 310-206-0613 to discuss the physical requirement for any tour. In general, travelers need to be in good physical and mental health and able to keep up with the pace of the group. Those with physical challenges or requiring special attention, diet or treatment must report these conditions in writing when making a reservation. Those who require extraordinary assistance must be accompanied by a caretaker who is capable of and totally responsible for providing required assistance while on tour. The UCLA Alumni Association and its designated tour operators reserve the right to decline to accept any person as a member of a tour or to require any traveler to withdraw from a tour any time when such action is determined to be in the best interest of the health, safety and general welfare of the tour group or individual tour members.
Cancellation Policies
Refund policies vary for each tour, but generally are as follows: Written cancellations from time of booking to 90 days prior to departure will be assessed a minimum administrative fee of approximately $250; within 90 days of departure, refunds vary according to the policies of each tour operator. Please read the cancellation policy on each brochure carefully.
Should I get travel insurance?
We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover the possibility of trip cancellation or interruption, emergency medical evacuation, medical expenses and baggage loss incurred while traveling. All confirmed passengers will receive travel insurance information in their packet. It's one of our membership benefits. Coverage for pre-existing medical conditions, terrorist incidents and travel supplier financial insolvencies will be provided if the insurance is purchased within 15 days of your trip deposit. Please read the insurance brochure carefully.
What is CST?
California Seller of Travel. All of our travel suppliers are registered and in compliance. The CST number is listed on all brochures. The UCLA Alumni Association California Seller of Travel number is 2063999-40.

Director of Alumni Travel
“The main reason to experience a UCLA Alumni Travel tour is your fellow travelers. The group camaraderie that develops on most tours continues way beyond returning home. It’s not always where you travel, but with whom you have shared the experience.”
