Excursion: Dürnstein Walking Tour. Dürnstein is considered one of the most beautiful towns in the Wachau
Valley. See baroque architecture, pass by gorgeous scenery and visit the magnificent Stiftskirche.
Excursion: Melk. Visit Melk’s Benedictine abbey, an architectural jewel with impressive interiors.
DAY 7 | June 5. Passau
Excursion: Picturesque Passau.Today’s tour showcases the Gothic town hall and St. Stephen’s Cathedral, home of Europe’s largest pipe organ.
DAY 8 | June 6. Regensburg / Kelheim
Excursion: Historic Regensburg. View the old Roman tower, the Roman gateway and the 12th-century Stone Bridge. See the old town hall and the stunning St. Peter’s Cathedral.
Excursion: Weltenburg Monastery. Discover the oldest monastery in Bavaria, founded in the first century. The opulent baroque church was built from 1716 to 1751.
DAY 9 | June 7. Nuremberg
Excursion: Nuremberg. See the courthouse where the World War II trials were held. Visit the city’s renowned hilltop castle. Stroll to the Hauptmarkt, an open square dominated by the Schoener Brunnen.
DAY 10 | June 8. Bamberg
Excursion: Bamberg. During a walking tour, wander under the grand rococo archway of the Obere Brücke.
DAY 11 | June 9. Würzburg
Excursion: Romantic Road. Take a scenic drive to admire the walled, medieval towns that line this famous route. Stop in Rothenberg.
Excursion: Würzburg. Tour the city and visit the Residenz, an 18th-century palace that was once home to the prince-bishops of Würzburg.
DAY 12 | June 10. Miltenberg
Excursion: Miltenberg. The 13th-century castle that presides over the town is smaller than many others in Germany. Walk through Miltenberg and see local shops and half-timbered homes along its main street.
DAY 13 | June 11. Rüdesheim / Koblenz
Independent Exploration: In Rüdesheim, you will have time to explore the city at leisure.This afternoon, cruise through the Middle Rhine Valley. Independent Exploration. Explore the historic town center of Koblenz.
DAY 14 | June 12. Cologne
Excursion: Cologne’s Magnificent Cathedral Walking Tour. Visit Kölner Dom, the famous 12th-century cathedral. After World War II, the church was reconstructed, but some war wounds still are visible. In the evening, join your fellow travelers on the ship for a farewell reception.
DAY 15 | June 13. Amsterdam
Excursion: Amsterdam City Tour. Admire the Royal Palace, the Mint Tower and the Skinny Bridge. A visit to Rijksmuseum, featuring works by Rembrandt, completes your city tour.
DAY 16 | June 14.
Transfer to the Amsterdam airport for the return to your gateway city.
