From city to country, loch to loch, and glen to glen, encounter stunning natural beauty and welcoming clans on this sweet journey through Scotland.  Your small group of no more than 24 guests discovers the country’s colorful past and cosmopolitan present on this 12-day tour.  Begin in Glasgow with a tour highlighting the city’s distinct architecture.  Enjoy a private tour of Pollok House, the Maxwell clan’s ancestral home and now a museum housing the United Kingdom’s greatest collection of Spanish art.  Set out for the scenic Highlands, stopping for a brief cruise on storied Loch Lomond.  Visit Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most beautiful spots, and take a full-day Isle of Skye excursion.  Drive the full 23-mile length of the fabled Loch Ness, best known for the unearthly creature that allegedly inhabits its deep waters.  Visit lakeside Urquhart Castle’s evocative ruins then continue to the historic Culloden Moor battle site and legendary Saint Andrews, home of Scotland’s oldest university and renowned as golf’s birthplace.  Conclude your tour in stately Edinburgh with visits to Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood, where British royalty schemed and slept.
