St. Petersburg & the Baltic Capitals

AUG. 14-27, 2018
Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, St. Petersburg

On your 14-day small group journey through this fascinating region, visit four distinct nations and witness a world transformed.  Arrive in Vilnius, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you visit one of Eastern Europe’s oldest “Old Towns.”  Travel to Trakai, Lithuania’s medieval capital, and cross the border into Latvia where you spend three nights in Riga exploring this Baltic gem.  Take a day trip to Sigulda’s Gauja National Park, the “Switzerland of Latvia,” and proceed to Tallinn with its well-preserved Old Town.  See Estonia’s open air Rocca-al-Mare village museum.  Finish your journey in Czar Peter the Great’s “Window on the West,” St. Petersburg, where your touring includes St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Nevsky Prospekt, the Peter & Paul Fortress, and the Hermitage Museum.  Join a local family for lunch, and visit the dramatic Peterhof Palace.
