Southern Grandeur

APR. 7-15, 2019
New Orleans, Oak Alley, Natchez, Vicksburg, Helena, Memphis
Aboard American Queen

Relax into the history and hospitality of the Southern Mississippi on this week-long river boating experience aboard the deluxe American Queen in the wonderful city of New Orleans. Wander among the 140-plus historically registered buildings in St. Francisville and the 300-year-old oak trees in the Oak Alley plantation. Vicksburg, the “Red Carpet City of the South,” offers up a unique combination of old and new; while a rich, multicultural heritage defines Mississippi’s former capital city of Natchez, one of the oldest European settlements in the area. In Arkansas, explore the legendary Battle of Helena, or just sit back and take in an installment of King Biscuit Time, the nation’s longest-running blues radio program. Spend your first last night dancing around Memphis, home of the blues and the birthplace of rock and roll, before returning home.
