D-Day: The Invasion of Normandy and the Liberation of France

JUN. 19-26, 2019
Normandy Beaches, Arromanches, Ste-Mere-Eglise, Bayeux, Caen, Pointe du Hoc, Argentan, Falaise, Chambois

Join us on a seven-day tour visiting the sites and walking along the beaches, bridges, and hedgerows that became the backdrop for one of the most written about invasions in history — 75 years ago. Walk along the same beaches where an initial force of 130,000 servicemen from Allied nations landed in the early hours of June 6, 1944, after crossing a dark and choppy English Channel. Cross the same hedgerows traversed by paratroopers trying to eliminate the German gun batteries firing on their brothers trying to make landfall. Experience the Normandy through the eyes of French Resistance participants, The National WWII Museum’s expert battlefield guides, and the oral histories of the brave soldiers who fought the war that changed the world.
