Addis Abada, Bahir Dar, Gondar, Simien Mtns National Park, Axum, Lalibela

From ancient rock-hewn churches and legendary sites to breathtaking landscapes and rare wildlife, Ethiopia offers your small group a 15-day journey befitting of its noble – and epic – history.  A day’s sightseeing in diverse Addis Ababa includes Lucy’s famous 3.2-million-year-old bones in the National Museum.  Spending two nights on Lake Tana’s shores, visit the Weyto people, travel by boat to see the Zege Peninsula’s ancient churches, and admire the Blue Nile Falls’ beauty.  Tour Gondar’s evocative 17th-century castle complex.  With two nights in exotic Simien Mountains National Park, explore this spectacular UNESCO landscape.  Travel on to Axum for touring of Ethiopia’s holiest city, famed for its host of UNESCO archeological sites.  Then during a two-night stay in Lalibela, discover its 11 incredible rock churches.  The journey concludes back in Addis Ababa with time for independent exploration.  Encounter Southern Ethiopia’s traditional tribes and two national parks with an optional 6-day/5-night post-tour extension.
